Prayers Group

The Duncan Morrow Prayer group, named after two of its former  prayer warriors, meets on alternate Sunday mornings in vestry between 10.15 and 10.40 am.

A small group of us meet to pray for issues, local and international,  and for  the spiritual well  being of our Minister and congregation. It has been said that “ Prayer is the Power house of the church” and  therefore,  with God’s blessing and in his grace , we pray to meet this challenge.

The Guild

The Guild is a Christian Women’s Association that meets every two weeks in The Auld Kirk Halls from September to the end of March.  The emphasis is on good fun and enjoyment and raising money for charity; this session money has been donated to RNLI and Christmas Gifts to children in South Ayrshire as well as donating a little wooden mouse to the church to join the other five mice. Talks and activities have included a talk on ‘fun’ by the Minister Reverend David Gemmell, beetle drive, Halloween party, Bring and Buy quiz, talk on Danish Christmas decorations and workshop, Christmas party, bowling with Men’s Guild, Burns afternoon supper, talk on Thinking Day by Guild Commissioner, RNLI talk and an afternoon tea outing to the Savoy Hotel, Ayr.  New members are very welcome and there is no charge to join.  The syllabus for the autumn 2023 and spring 2024 is currently being collated.

Meetings take place every second week on a ‘Wednesday’.

Boys’ Brigade

We are one of the biggest Christian Youth Organisations in the UK & Republic of Ireland.

We are committed to seeing lives enriched by supporting children and young people to reach their full potential by providing opportunities to meet and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities and experiences.

There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility, and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities – sharing the values that make us who we are.

Anchor Boys: 6pm-7.30pm

Junior Section: 6pm-8pm

Company Section: 7pm-9.30pm

The 2nd Ayr Company is led by Captain David Brown and they meet on a Friday evening from September to May

Auld Kirk Lunches

Open on Tuesdays from 12noon until 1pm.  Please join us for soup, tea / coffee cake and a friendly chat. 

Men’s Guild

The Men’s Guild meets in the Church Hall on Mondays  from 7-9.30 pm. A warm welcome is extended to any new members who would like to join.
